Jonathan & Amber Purdy
Jonathan and Amber comprise our Youth Leader team. They accompany the youth on all camps, retreats, outings, adventures, and often host them in their home. If you have any questions about the youth program at Mechanicsburg Baptist Church, Jonathan would be happy to field those at 937-243-0935 or email@example.com.

Sunday School is for students in 7th-12th grade on Sunday mornings at 9:45am.
Youth Group is for students in 8th-12th grade and is held on Wednesday nights at 7pm.
Bible Quizzing is a ministry for students in 6th-12th grades who are interested in learning more scriptures or fellowshipping with likeminded individuals. Students are challenged to memorize portions of scripture and are invited to meets where they will quiz over this content 4-5 times a year. There are various levels of quizzing. Currently, our church hosts the XP level, which is the lowest requirement of memorization. This year our students are working on portions from the book of Hebrews. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Faith Ferguson at 937-303-2793 or via firstname.lastname@example.org. You may also seek additional information here.
Camps & Retreats
- RUSH camp is scheduled for June 14th-18th, and by account of all attendees in the past, it is a week to remember! Please see more information on the Camps & Retreats page.
- Our teens have had the opportunity to attend Winter Retreats the past few years. This time is a fun-filled weekend with a clear faith-focus. This is a chance for leaders and students alike to prioritize communion with Christ and fellow believers and recognize the importance of prayer, meditation on God, and a life that is lived according to the gospel. More information is available on the Camps & Retreats page.
For continued communication, join the Edisciples app for Mechanicsburg Baptist Church. Talk to Jonathan, Amber, or Faith to be added to this app where our calendar is updated, group chats have been initiated, and devotionals are posted. We look forward to welcoming you to the family!
Drop Your Nets
This is a theme for our youth. Students are challenged to drop their 'nets'. Whatever is holding them back from being wholeheartedly on fire for God--it isn't worth it! We are called to keep God as our one and only priority following his commands as a result. What is your net? Will you drop it and turn to God?
